The battle log now records every buff and debuff an action applied — and navigation moved to the bottom of the screen on phones.
The battle log has always told you what an action hit: who took damage, how much, what dodged, what died. It never told you what an action did beyond that. A skill that lowered DEF by 30% for two turns showed up as a damage number and nothing else, and the only way to find the rest was the raw text log behind the Raw toggle.
No combat rules changed here. The log just stopped leaving things out.
Every Status, On the Action That Caused It
Each action now lists the statuses it moved, under the targets it hit:
- Green chips are gains — a buff landing, a regeneration ticking on.
- Red chips are debuffs — a stat down, a seal, a damage-over-time with its per-turn number.
- Struck-through chips are losses — something cleansed, or an effect that stopped applying because the action ended it.
Durations come along too, so DEF −30% · 2t says the whole thing in one chip.
Including the Ones That Were Never Targeted
This is the part the old log could never have shown. A lot of what happens in a fight lands on somebody who was not the target of anything:
- a skill that buffs its own user after it swings
- a skill that buffs the whole team while striking one enemy
- an Extort link breaking on a third character because the enemy holding it died
All of those now appear in the log, named by whoever they happened to, instead of quietly not being mentioned. If a fight swung and you could not tell why, the reason is now written down.
And When They Run Out
Effects ending is the other half. A stun wearing off changes no HP, so nothing about it reached the log at all — the enemy simply acted again and you were left to work out why. Expiries are now recorded on the turn they happen, struck through, on whoever lost them.
Effects still counting down stay quiet. Only the turn something actually ends gets a line.
Refreshes Read as Refreshes
Recasting an effect that is already running does not read as "lost it, then got it again" — it reads as the new duration, once. The log says what happened, not what the bookkeeping looked like.
The Raw toggle is still there. It carries the engine's own commentary — resisted and immune lines, passive narration, HP drains — which is prose rather than state, and stays the fullest read of a fight.
Elsewhere: Navigation Moved Down
On a phone the row of route icons at the top was 234px wide holding 332px of routes, which meant two of them — News and Profile — were simply off the edge of the screen, behind a sideways swipe nothing told you about.
Navigation is now five tabs along the bottom: Menu, Story, Events, Gacha and You. All five are visible, all five are where your thumb already is, and they get out of the way during a fight. Archive, Practice and News moved to the main menu, which is what Menu opens.
The character archive got the same treatment from the other direction: search and one Filters button, with elements, sorting, tags and mechanics behind it. Characters used to start two thirds of the way down the screen. They start near the top now.
Music volume moved to your profile, under Sound. The mute button stays in the top bar on every screen — that is the one you want in a hurry, and it works whether or not you are signed in.
On a desktop nothing has changed.
